Goa Airport to Morjim Beach Distance and Drive Time

The distance from the Goa airport to Morjim from Dabolim is about 47 km, or 48 minutes using the route estimate. These timings portray a road at rest, however, during high season or at a weekend night the drive through Mapusa becomes very dilatory, so hold your first night for no plans.

Before you book a ticket, compare the price of your ticket from Goa airport to Morjim Beach with the distance to Morjim Beach. This particular airport guide estimates that by road, Mopa saves 30 to 50 min, or about 400 to 700 rupees over the taxi, which is more time at sea, or for the few things to do in Morjim.

How to Reach Morjim from Goa Airport?

Three options to get there, depending on when you get in, your bagage and your week ahead.

Taxi or Pre-Arranged Transfer

Taxi or Pre-Arranged Transfer

Otherwise, a Goa airport to Morjim taxi is the absolute easiest. It’s also better than trying to find a taxi at arrivals on the fly, particularly if you’re arriving late at night when there are hardly any cars there and they are raising the price up. That is the best way to find out how to reach Morjim from Goa airport.

Make sure the fare and pickup point are agreed before you leave and see if the boot will hold your bags.

Check carefully what is included in the fare; tolls, parking charges and waiting time charges are not always quoted on the first consultation.

Give your driver your flight details so you’re never left waiting at the kerb when your flight is delayed.

Don’t throw out the property address and a pin on the map on your phone because the lanes in Morjim are quite tight and fairly straightforward to pass if you happen to miss them.

If you are taking a taxi at the airport, work out the fare in advance before you get in.

Bus

This Goa airport to Morjim bus route is suitable for light packers with a little more time, and it’s the way to get to Morjim beach if you don’t want to splurge.

You will typically travel to Panaji from Dabolim and then onwards to Mapusa: approximately an hour and a half and anything between ₹500 and ₹730.

Morjim is 14 km further from Mapusa, and KTCL buses also stop at Morjim School.

From Mopa, there is a limited Kadamba shuttle to Panaji for about ₹150 to ₹200 and again you change there.

Check the schedule for your date – bus times don’t usually match up with airline arrivals.

Laggages are heavy, changing a tire is a pain, and the services diminish after sunset, so when you arrive late it’s usually better to skip the bus altogether.

Rental Car

If you want to see North Goa at leisure, then you will require a car to do so, and then in that case your first outing from the airport can be by car.

Ask your stay about parking and choose your pick up/ drop off point.

The roads are crowded in season, the beachside road is narrow and the parking by the sand is expensive.

If you want a less formal departure, request a taxi from the airport, and for the days you want to visit the islands, take a scooter or book a car with driver.
